Overall, it's a safe bet for a good time. A very good film that has a fair amount of blood and gore, but does not revolve around those genre staples. The Robot is unlocked by hacking any Cop Bot or Killer Robot. The slums will be the fastest level, using any of the base characters or others that have already been unlocked. The score, although definitively 80s, complements the film with subtle overtones that enhance the viewing experience. The Shapeshifter is gained by completing any level with five different characters. Sometimes creepy, sometimes genuinely funny. A sequel, The Hidden II, was directed by Seth Pinsker and released in 1993. It stars Kyle MacLachlan and Michael Nouri, along with Clu Gulager, Chris Mulkey, Ed O'Ross, Clarence Felder, Claudia Christian and Larry Cedar, and received mostly positive reviews. The Hidden is a 1987 American science fiction horror film directed by Jack Sholder, written by Jim Kouf, and released by New Line Cinema.

There are a lot of stupid, inane sci-fi action pics out there with some boring spin on the alien possession story, but this movie has something that those lack. THE VOID streaming A blood-soaked man limping down a deserted road is rushed by officer Carter to a nearby hospital with a skeleton crew. It's like searching for a diamond in a pile of coal.
